Afrodisiac's hammer
It’s Afrodisiac, ya dig? He is one of the baddest Mothas on the streets! This was a book that came out in recent months that is one of those once in a lifetime books. Long story short, it got my attention, it is a tongue in cheek set of story set like a 70 blacksplotation film, and it rocks.
This is actually an entry for a contest for some free swag from the creators of the book. I figured after reading it, Afrodisiac would be the only other one to be able to pick up thors hammer. now show some love

Drow Warrior
This is a colored version of a commission i have done. I enjoyed it, Having to deal with the reverse of some of the common things, like really dark skin, and light hair. It was one of those things that kept me guessing. This is for a friend who is writing a story about this character.
Using the new inks that i am sure i absolutely love now, I found that more than every I enjoy working on real paper and ink. It is not forgiving at all, but it is very intimate. the one drawback is the scanning process, i just cant get it to where i like how it scans in. the real thing is so much more… real. go figure.

Buzz Aldren in the 25th century
Had a bit of a brain spark while working on a few things. I ran across a few images of some guys i follow on twitter doing Johnny Recon. This is still a work in progress, i am going to color this in and make it a bit more dramatic i guess. I am not sure if it will be computer or not, but it should be fun ether way.
I got some new inks to do it with, and i am pretty sure i love inking by hand now. Digital is fun, but damn if it just doesn’t have that tactile sensation i crave while working. I might be just too far gone for the digital age.
Not really. I think this is just my swing to this side of the medium. I will swing back once i get tired of it. The point is that i keep doing something and that is all that maters. kugs and hisses.

Flaming...
Not sure why, but i got it in my head to draw Ghost Rider. I love the way parts of this turned out, and on the other hand i hate the way other parts turned out.
Let me explain. i love the line work of the top, i hate the ink work of the bottom. it is one of the those problems that did not present itself until every thing was said and done. I tried to clean up the blacks in post, but i came to the conclusion that the wash like nature of the blacks added something. I think i need to work on my strokes a bit more(ha).

World Devourer, word.
I am Devourer of worlds, unstoppable and inevitable. I am nether good nor evil, i just am. my herald speaks for me, so hear him. i am Galactus.
He is one of the most odd charaters i know of, and his original incarnation is the only one i can thing of as true. They have tried to update, and make the concept a bit more… Real? but it never works. Galactus to me is a giant purple mofo, who eats worlds. he just is. and here is just me sketch of him. not sure if i will take it further, but i might. you think so? let me know.

Yes, those are antlers
Sage dog is not what I am calling it officially, but it is its code name. I picked it out of nowhere to hide what it really is!
This is some concepting work i stopped to do while working on other projects. I tried to play with a few lighting techniques to get make it a bit more dramatic, and to basically reduce the amount of black i was going to use. I may color this in the future, but really i wanted to work out the tones and that’s it. This was done with mostly pin and ink, with the grays added by marker. i am enjoying working on the smooth press Bristol board more than the vellum. it takes the line better.

Turian, studyed.
As you may be able to tell, i might have come across a copy of Mass Effect 2. I also might have been playing it for large streches of each day. I am really digging the game play and storyline. What i didnt care for about the first game, they fixed, while at the same time, keeping what i liked about the old game. If you have a chunk of your life free, i suggest you play it.
This was just to play around, to break from some work i was doing. i got some brushes and ink and had some fun. I am getting the feel of using a brush to draw with instead of a pen. I still love pens, but i can see the appeal of this process. for those of you that have played the game, this is not any character specifically, just me playing with the race of beings. I might concept some different styles and looks. Let me know what you think.

Finished it! just some simple markers, it needed to be done. Its a little brighter and happier than i originally intended, but, what are you going to do?
This was a bit more difficult than i thought it was going to be. I kept having a charlie brown head! But in the end it all came together. Let me know what you think.

Metal Beast
Its not Science, its Super Science! That is the something i learned from Rusty Venture’s Day Camp for boy adventurers. Anyway. This is some concept work, of which i cant reveal the full story behind it. super top secret stuff.
I am on the fence about what to do with it next. i am tempted to color it with marker, but i also might go ahead and do it on the computer to. Decisions, decisions. give me some thoughts, let me pick your brains.
