Namor, the sub-mariner!

Namor, the sub-mariner

Namor, the sub-mariner

I present to you, for your consideration, The King (or Prince?) of the fabled city of Atlantis! Let his battle cry be “imperious rex!!!” Such a odd, and angry character in my mind. But i guess if i had to breath sea water all the time, i would be a bit pissy.

anyway, this was a fun one to work on. i have been trying to work with mid action poses, or somethingĀ  a bit more fluid looking, if you will pardon the pun. I imagined that he was a character that was ways in motion, on the attack, ready to defend. If you will notice i left out the eyes. this was an excellent experiment for me, who hasĀ  an almost obsessive need to see it all. I have been trying to do more of that in my drawing. Obsessive is too strong a word i think. lazy. now that is a word that i can relate to.

anyway, as always if you have anything you want to see let me know. i am always up for a challenge!

Super Skrull!

Super Skrull Attacks!

Super Skrull Attacks!

I got some new markers and went all out. tried to think of an image that i could do with all the colors that i had purchased. and at first it was one with the fantastic 4, but i got lazy right of the bat with that one. so i took the next best step which was a character with all the powers! Villains can be underrated anyway.

I had great fun figuring out how to display all that i wanted with this one. i hope you enjoy and again if you have any suggestions just let me know. i am always open to doing new types of things.

Would you like some tea?

would you like some tea?

would you like some tea?

Would you like some Tea? i bet you would! In this latest installment of Adam does commissions, we visit the wonderful world of alice and her land of wonderment. This is the creepy Mad Hatter. It is kind of a cross between teh mad hatter from alice and wonderland and the comicbook mad hatter (batman). Oversized hat on an oversized head is really where i wanted to go with it. I tried to use some very disturbing colors next to each other, and while blue and red are not usually that bad next to one another they can be a little bit jarring.

not sure, i may do a version of the rest of the tea party. if you would like that let me know. and as aways comments are welcome. be aware i will ignore any that dont hail my prowess as the greatest of all time, but i think thats to be expected.

pour me another mr. hare…

Its Gambit!

Gambit Commission

Gambit Commission

By popular demand its a commission of Gambit. I had to do this in gray scale because all the color combos i worked up were not exactly right… or horrible. he has alot of blues and purples in his outfit. not to mention i dont have an adquate selection of browns to do the jacket. plus i need to work on my gray scale anyway. But i am pleased how this turned out. So to all you gambit fans (insert favorite gambit saying here).

If anyone else has some ideas of charaters or things, not confined to comic book charaters, that they would like to see, hit me up and i will do ya right. Not on the the art store to get some more markers and paper!

new markers!

Testing out some markers

Testing out some markers

Got some new Copic Markers, found some Bristol paper, went to town with testing them out! I may have gotten these colors just so i could do a variety of super hero images. spider-mans, super-mans, and other red clad characters (and blue). Next set as you may can tell will be what i will call the aqua-man set. I just have to figure out why i would do something that silly. I mean seriously, aqua man?

But if you would like an aqua man commission, feel free to ask :d. I do Commissions. on the cheap. i need some cash to buy new markers.

on another note, i think i may visit some more conventions this year than usual, i may even be tempted to set up and sell if the price is right.
