this was a little bit of playing around. I wanted to play with the light a little bit more, but i had to pull back because i kept messing it up.

I am really syked about this one! I love venom from back in the day, and i was a little upset when they made some changes to the character, but now that i have warmed up to the some of the changes in appearance and character, i am really digging it! And when they introduced Anti-venom as non other than Eddie himself, i had a fan boy conniption! anyway, this is kind of a fun piece i have been working on. Enjoy!

This is a quick little bit of conception i did, i wanted to mix two characters together. I found this quite enjoyable, because they really don’t belong together. But its fun to dream anyway. So i hope you can enjoy the American bat!

Afrodisiac's hammer

It’s Afrodisiac, ya dig? He is one of the baddest Mothas on the streets! This was a book that came out in recent months that is one of those once in a lifetime books. Long story short, it got my attention, it is a tongue in cheek set of story set like a 70 blacksplotation film, and it rocks.

This is actually an entry for a contest for some free swag from the creators of the book. I figured after reading it, Afrodisiac would be the only other one to be able to pick up thors hammer. now show some love

Buzz Aldren in the 25th century

Had a bit of a brain spark while working on a few things. I ran across a few images of some guys i follow on twitter doing Johnny Recon. This is still a work in progress, i am going to color this in and make it a bit more dramatic i guess. I am not sure if it will be computer or not, but it should be fun ether way.

I got some new inks to do it with, and i am pretty sure i love inking by hand now. Digital is fun, but damn if it just doesn’t have that tactile sensation i crave while working. I might be just too far gone for the digital age.

Not really. I think this is just my swing to this side of the medium. I will swing back once i get tired of it. The point is that i keep doing something and that is all that maters. kugs and hisses.

Yes, those are antlers

Sage dog is not what I am calling it officially, but it is its code name. I picked it out of nowhere to hide what it really is!

This is some concepting work i stopped to do while working on other projects. I tried to play with a few lighting techniques to get make it a bit more dramatic, and to basically reduce the amount of black i was going to use. I may color this in the future, but really i wanted to work out the tones and that’s it. This was done with mostly pin and ink, with the grays added by marker. i am enjoying working on the smooth press Bristol board more than the vellum. it takes the line better.

Metal Beast

Its not Science, its Super Science! That is the something i learned from Rusty Venture’s Day Camp for boy adventurers. Anyway. This is some concept work, of which i cant reveal the full story behind it. super top secret stuff.

I am on the fence about what to do with it next. i am tempted to color it with marker, but i also might go ahead and do it on the computer to. Decisions, decisions. give me some thoughts, let me pick your brains.

Skinwalker

Ah! Now that’s a man i wouldn’t want to fight. Wait, i don’t think that’s a man at all! This is a small concept of a character i have been working with. Also, i am excited, because i used the good paper to do this one. the lines are a lot more to my liking.

I may change some of the features, but this is basically the feel i want it to have. Also i have been getting back to BLACK… I realized in my haze of Laze… yness…. i have gotting away from building some deffinate shadows, and points of light.
