The Last Air Bender
This is a small Work in progress of Ang. I am not sure weather to color it, or let it be. It is a show made for children, but it does involve a bit of violence. I always like to show that if kicked or punched in the face, that these charaters, tho young would be ready for the pain.
Plus it pushes a small limit.

Victor Von Doom
You are in the Presence of DOOM! This is my loving tribute to Victor Von Doom. This is less is Techno master self, and more his arcane magic self. I might work on one that is more of the full attack armor and general bad ass-y-ness custom. Let me know what you think.
and for some reason, i now look at it and think he is holding some very potent cheese. I think he might be doing that, and it might be doom cheese. only the best for Latveria.

Had a little flashback to the 80’s. My two favorite charaters in G.I. Joe. Snake eyes (which is every little boys favorite charater from then) and his opposite, Storm Shadow. Nothing cooler than Ninjas. Except maybe pirate ninjas. But i digress. Trying to play with the light abit. Ying and Yang as it were.
I may have gotten carried away with the black. but its all in good fun.
Next up, we will have some more concept sketches. but as always, hit me up if you want some commission work.

Skinwalker
Ah! Now that’s a man i wouldn’t want to fight. Wait, i don’t think that’s a man at all! This is a small concept of a character i have been working with. Also, i am excited, because i used the good paper to do this one. the lines are a lot more to my liking.
I may change some of the features, but this is basically the feel i want it to have. Also i have been getting back to BLACK… I realized in my haze of Laze… yness…. i have gotting away from building some deffinate shadows, and points of light.

Old Man
I was watching an episode of Kingdom with Stephen Fry. A quirky little British comedy. got to say i enjoy this show, for reasons i have not even come to understand. it takes you up and down, but never too far. Very British i guess. it was a scene that struck me as very well shot. so with everything i like, i stole that jank like it was cheese. just the composition really, to play wiht lights and darks.
These last few have just been done on the backs of crap pages in my sketch book. i didnt stress over composition. too much. at all i guess. just thought i would share.

LOB-STAR! Johnson.
Its lobster Johnson! From the Hellboy Universe, so if you might want to find out about it. I have been playing around pentel brush pen… the kind the all the greats use. pretty much i know these are sloppy, but its getting use to it. it flows like a brush because it is a brush! now on to our next commercial for things i use. or not.
I have been getting back to where i want to use a lot of blacks in my work. i find it fun and challenging to play with them, see what i can get a way with when i dont want to fully form something. i am sure there are offical art terms for it, but they escape me, because i am not a collector of words, just images.
and insults. i have a vault of insults that i go to when i really care for someone. its not every day you can accuse someone of being a communist witch in cahoots with the inquisition… and that is not even the most valuable of gems.

lady pirates rock.
Its been a rough start, but last night i wanted to draw. Even though the proportions and everything are not spot on ( as you know i am a stickler for rules of any kind) i wanted to get back in to markers.
This image i just a concept for a new project i am starting. I will reveal details as i come across them. but never the less i am excited about where i could be going with it.
Next up we have DARK MAN. I ran across this in my book, having just dicked around at a convention drawing this. i felt it should never see the light of day, just like the movie. but as all things are, this must come out. besides, Liam Nesson could in fact be reading this, so he will know.

Some of the odd movies that managed to come out in the 80s and 90s have now started to come back to haunt me. i don’t know why. especially the action movies that used Ex-Wrestlers and Sports Stars as the main Hero. Two that come to mind are Rowdy Roddy Piper, who has aged extremely well, and the BOZ Bosworth. These movies, however bad are an influence on our lives, and we must stop and reflect… but not learn from our mistakes, (Marines movie one and two i am looking at you).
anyway, i feel a tribute coming.

Its 2010 now. I have had a long period in which i have not written anything or posted images. I feel i have let you down, my many loyal readers. This year is going to be different. in many ways. Most people say that, but this is for real. to start i am unencumbered by that wicked yoke called employment. leaving me plenty of time to draw my little heart out. i have nothing but personal projects at the momement. but if there is someone who is actually reading this that wants something done, i am free and clear to provide almost instant gratification.
Next i want to point out that this is an even numbered year… which means nothing. I felt a need to say it. every year we should all try and get what we need but not at the expense of others. i have discovery that a person can choose to chill out, and still get things done.
Lastly… i think this year is going to be a year of METAL!!! only because i am playing brutal metal right now, and miss the days of wailing guitars and insane drum solos.
So if you play games, or illustrate things, drop me a line. its the least you can do, for all i do for you .

The Doctor and Companion
Its done! using some Experimental methods to help speed up the process, i have decided to play with the coloring of this one quite a bit. Tried to be less painter, and more digital. I like how it came out, and i have been looking for the an appropriate image to use the glowy effect in.
This if you have not guessed by now, is The doctor, with the last seasons companion. Catherin Tate (she is very funny, looker her up). I am sad to see This doctor go, but i am interested in what the new series will be like. Yes, i have a love of some WHO. I have slowly been working my way thru some of the older shows, spanning WAAAAAY back. so there may be more doctors in the future.
And if your looking for prints, you can pick one up in Baltimore, Oct 10 and 11. Going to be sitting at a table drawing things, come by if you want.

The Demon, Etrigan!
This is another demon work. i tried to reduce some of the details and colors and stuff. i have to say it is a bit different, but i think i like it. I think next time, this would be a place were i need to get a black brush pen. i like working with a sepia color, but it isn’t solid enough in my mind to hold the shadows like i want.
i am pleased about the the loose coloring i did. i think it adds more overall feel of it. May happs i will try some variations of coloring this way, with differnt types of lines and line work.
